Ioannis Karounis is a filmmaker with a keen interest in video, film, video trailers and short documentaries. Since 2008 he has been filming and editing videos traveling all over the world. He is co-artistic director of the International Dance Film Festival - VIDEO DANCE PROJECT.
Most recently, he has collaborated with: Since 2008 he has been filming and editing videos traveling all over the world and collaborating with multiple institutions and companies as freelancer. Since 2010, he is the co-artistic director of the International Dance Film Festival - ATHENS VIDEO DANCE PROJECT. The biggest and one of the first video dance festivals in Greece.
He has worked in documentary productions for Greek TV channels such as COSMOTE HISTORY and SKAI tv, as well as, in productions in collaboration with the well-known director Apostolos Nikolaidis (https://www.nikolaidisapostolos.com/).
Since 2017 he has been creating the videos for the CHOCOA festival in Amsterdam - Fontys University - IMICHO company. Furthermore, taking advantage of his broad network in the art field, he has created a series of shorts documentaries for renowned choreographers worldwide such as Jukstapoz Co, Michael Kliën, David Zambrano - Milan Herich. He has participated in productions under difficult conditions such as the capture of the refugee / financial crisis in Greece. An example was his participation in the productions Dead End & July. Apart from that he has created music video clips sush as video clip.
